Took the kids to the Nutcracker as performed by the Raleigh City Ballet on Sunday - it was excellent. First time experience for both, and I'll admint - a long dang time since I'd been to see a ballet too!
Ainsley was a little antsy waiting for the show to begin - but once the lights went down - magic! They both really enjoyed it. It was interesting to hear their "take" on the story as it progressed... I know I didn't really "get" the tale when I was a kid, so thrilled to see my own kids making more sense of it at their tender young ages!
This week will be busy - dinner plans 4 out of 5 nights this week. Thank goodness dad and Lorraine will be here (to the rescue!) on Thursday... :)
