Thanksgiving/November wrap up

So many things to update on!!!

Thanksgiving last week was AMAZING.  We had a great 5 day break, awesome dinners, kids had sleepovers, lots of playtime and we GOT OUR CHRISTMAS TREE!!!!

Wednesday night we had double sleepovers after dinner out for the big kids.  M and J were best of friends in elementary school but don't go to the same MS now - so it's harder for them to see each other.  Wednesday was a perfect catch up night for them.  We played games and they watched movies.  As an aside - Wits and Wagers is a GREAT family game idea - highly recommend!

Thursday November 22 should have been her 70th birthday and if she was still here, we would have been doing wild, fun and crazy things.  But she is not, so it is more a day of remembering and sadness for me.  In this picture she is holding me - it was taken almost 40 years ago to the day of her birthday - at our cottage up near Bancroft.   

Thanksgiving DINNER!

 We joined our best friends Kelly and Dick and their two kids for our annual tradition of US Thanksgiving together.  This was our 12th one!  It was AWESOME FOOD!

AMB and I headed out shopping at 11:30PM Thanksgiving night!! 

We had a ball, got some good deals too!  It's a "thing" she and I do - crazy as it may sound... I love doing this with her every year!

Fall Fun!

The weekend weather was amazing - lots of leaves to play in!

Friday MTB slept over at another friends house so the girls and us headed out to Blue Jay - hiked and played until it was so cold we couldn't move!

 

Perfect Fall Day

This is not an ideal picture - but proof that I am at least trying some of the trendy looks for this fall.

This was bold, daring and very much out of my comfort zone!  I think it's ok... Brown leggings, boots, boot socks, longer sweater and super cozy scarf.  We had dinner out Saturday.

November 27th was our 13th anniversary!

Ken surprised me with gorgeous flowers and we went out for lunch.  13 has gone by SO FAST.

I hope that you all had a great Thanksgiving, break and are ready for the insanity and awesomeness that Christmas brings!!  We have lots on our plates the next few weekends with house updates before some Christmas guests arrive and indoor soccer tournament in VA!
