Happy Mother's Day!!

We had such a great weekend - chores and soccer and fun times with friends.  Ken and I got a DATE NIGHT (WHOO HOO!!) on Friday when Ms. Kim came to watch the kids - it was so nice to get out for a few hours and not stress ONE BIT about Amelia going to bed!!  She was a total angel for Kim!!!  The beauty of the daycare teacher that moonlights as a sitter!!!

Saturday morning I got up super early and met some new friends down at Shelly Lake for a nice run.  What a great group!!  It was nice to meet some new runners - hopefully I am able to meet up with them a few times a week!  We also bought a used bike trailer on Friday at work - and Amelia loves it!  It will be perfect for our upcoming beach trip - assuming we can fit it in!!!  She went for three bike rides this weekend and had a great time.  Sunday we did a picnic up at a huge park in Wake Forest and road for miles!!

Both the older kids played great soccer games on Saturday afternoon, Matt also had a birthday party and then we headed over to some friends for dinner on Saturday night!  Check out the girls on their awesome swing...

The kids played for hours while we sipped wine and dined al fresco on amazing food.  It was a perfect evening!

Sunday brought some beautiful cards and flowers, and some new solar accent lights for our gorgeous garden - the house has NEVER looked better! 

Ken is just finishing up Ainlsey's room now - the floor looks great, and the new paint (hopefully...) should be a little less PINK and a little more soothing.  Pics of that soon!
